Where do photo sessions take place?
Wherever you would like! You tell me! My favorite sessions are out in the world at various locations. The most popular locations are parks, Lake Rathbun, family homes, family farms, etc. I love going to new places to photograph you and/or your loved ones. If you don't have something in mind I can always suggest something.
Do you have a studio?
No, at this time I do not have a studio. I could see myself owning one in the future, but at this time it is not feasible for me as I am not yet able to do photography as a sole career.
Do you travel for photo sessions?
Yes! We charge a small mileage fee, for anything 30 miles outside of Centerville, Iowa round trip. This just covers gas, time, and expenses.
When do you schedule photo sessions?
You choose! I do my best to work around your schedule and all involved while also working you into my schedule. I prefer to do schedule early morning or late afternoon as the lighting is not as harsh. We can do a mid day session but locations may be limited due to harsh lighting.
What happens if the weather is uncooperative the day of my scheduled session?
If it is chilly, warm, or cloudy it is okay. But if the temperature reaches the 90s, below the 40s, or it is storming we will contact you to reschedule within a day before. As I am sure you know Iowa weather is unpredictable so we will try to call it on the prediction the day before your session ---so no need to worry about what the extended forecast says. We will work with you the best we can to find a date that works for the both of us.
When do we get to see our photos?
ASAP! I understand the excitement you have to receive and view your post processing images, so it is a personal goal for me to get them back to you in a timely manner. You will receive your images in an online gallery within four weeks of your session date, but generally much quicker.
Do I have to order prints through you?
You do not have to order prints from us, you are free to print at your favorite photo lab as you wish. Although we do recommend ordering prints through us due to our chosen photo labs high quality prints.
Can I post my images of social media or elsewhere?
Of course! Once you receive your images you are free to use them for any personal use you choose.
How do I book a session?
Contact us through Facebook, email, phone, or our contact form found on the about section. From there we will get back to you as soon as we can about booking your session! We will get your contract sent to you after all the info is gathered and we require a 30% initial payment to secure your booking.
Is there a contract?
Yes, our contract is sent electronically after receiving your info and package choice. From there is will be sent to you via email, where you will sign it and submit it, from there the contract is automatically sent back to us. You will also receive a copy of the signed document. After the contract is signed and returned to us and we have received your 30% initial payment your date is booked and secured. Yay!
